Ever since I can remember, I always have had a curious mind about things. I’ve always had an interest in reading, writing, and just learning as much as I can. My interest in photography has always been there, but I guess it took the pandemic for me to finally pick up a camera and see what I could do with it. The irony is that I don’t think I’m all that photogenic…maybe that’s why I prefer being behind the scenes! Some of my inspirations as far as photography goes are far too many to count, but the GOAT to me will forever and always be Gordon Parks.
If my work can end up anywhere in his stratosphere, then I guess I’m doing something right. Although I haven’t been shooting very long, I would tell anyone that wants to do this is to find your avenue that belongs to you and only you, and, as always…keep shooting! You never know the story that you will be able to tell with your camera! Remember also, comparison is the thief of joy! Everyone’s journey is different, so take your time and learn as much as you can!
When I’m not doing photography, I’m usually watching sports of some kind, listening to music and/or podcasts (usually sports-related…I admit, I’m a sports nut!), or just hanging with friends and family, and spending time with my darling/light of my life.
